Evaluation - Activity Seven

Looking back to your Preliminary Task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

The purpose of the Preliminary Task was to prepare us for when we made our two minute opening sequence. Our main focus was match on action:

After becoming quite confident with match-on-action, we used within our opening sequence, when Jennifer escaped the radio room and runs through the corridor.

We then focused on over the shoulder and shot reverse shot.

In Cherry Blossom we used, extreme close-ups, close-ups and medium close-ups. This shows that when filming our Preliminary Task, we payed attention to detail and understanding the purpose of each shot.

The Preliminary Task definitely beniffited us as a class, as we had to chance to experiment and understand the equipment. We did however, notice the difference when filming the sequence, as we had to capture a lot more footage, which it then became harder to follow the rules. However, I feel that I learnt a lot from the task, which I carried with me when filming.
